BOKU online mobile payments forged direct billing agreements with Deutsche Telekom mobile network operator. The partnership offers over 34 million subscribers in Germany the ability to pay for digital and virtual goods and services simply using their existing wireless account. Customers can access the portfolio of BOKU merchant partners to purchase a wide variety of digital goods and services, including virtual goods found in online games, digital goods, and Facebook credits. Customers simply enter their phone number to checkout, and respond via SMS to confirm the payment; the charge appears on their wireless bill.

USA Technologies Appoints New Director

USA Technologies cashless payment and M2M telemetry solutions appointed Albin F. Moschner to its board of directors, making him the ninth member of the USA Technologies board. Moschner comes to USA Technologies most recently as chief operating officer of Leap Wireless International, responsible for all operating activities of the company. He grew this company’s customer count from 1.5 million to 5.5 million. Prior to this, he was president, Verizon Card Services for Verizon Communications, where he managed the company’s prepaid card business- growing it over $100 million- as its credit card business”a $4 billion portfolio. Moschner holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from the City College of New York, as well as a Master of Science degree from Syracuse University.

PayAnywhere mobile POS solutions added two payments industry professionals to its leadership team, including Carl Williams and Ed Myers, as managing directors, advising the company on new acquisitions, partner development, domestic and international market expansion. Carl Williams’ career in financial services spans 30 years and includes his role as president of worldwide payment processing at Global Payments (GPN).
