Fiserv has launched a bill payment widget that
enables consumers to pay bills from within their online banking
homepage. Now available to financial institutions that use
the company’s CheckFree online bill payment service, the
payment widget is also being deployed through the latest versions of the
company’s industry-leading Corillian Online and eCom online
banking solutions, making the new functionality available to millions of
online banking consumers nationwide. This makes it to schedule bill
payments from the bank or credit union’s online banking homepage.
A condensed display of payment criteria that can be integrated into any
page within the online banking service, the widget enables consumers to
schedule transactions without visiting a dedicated bill payment page.

Located within this area are a Budget Worksheet, multiple calculators and consumer tips articles. Those interested in credit counseling will find an overview of the credit counseling process, a Frequently Asked Questions area, and information on how to locate an NFCC Member Agency to set an appointment for counseling. Additionally, useful information is provided for those needing housing counseling or fearing foreclosure, along with an overview of the bankruptcy process for those in deep financial distress. Macyâs and Bloomingdaleâs credit cards will be co-branded exclusively with American Express and issued by Citi, the issuer of Macyâs and Bloomingdaleâs credit cards. The agreements stipulates existing Macyâs and Bloomingdaleâs Visa cards will be replaced by new Macyâs and Bloomingdaleâs American Express cards by the end of 2010. Customers’ American Express card will have the same credit limits, current balances, historical account information and loyalty program rewards as the existing co-branded card. Customers who hold a Macyâs or Bloomingdaleâs store credit card (not co-branded) will see no change, and those cards will continue to be accepted only at Macyâs or Bloomingdaleâs. MA-based payment platform provider Aliaswire has received a Notification
of Allowance from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for
its patent titled âSecure Authentication and Payment System.â The
company holds counterpart issued patents in China, India, Australia,
Singapore and South Africa. With a priority date of July 2001, the
patent has more than 40 claims
covering a broad range of payment transactions such as P2P mobile
payments, mobile funds transfers, and purchases that take place over
wireless devices. The patent claims encompass Aliaswireâs comprehensive
process for initiating payments through various mobile interfaces,
including mobile applications that reside on a device connected to a
telephone network; SMS text messages; or voice commands. In all cases,
payment routing is completed in a payment network which may include ACH,
EFT or credit card. The company expects the patent to be issued within
the next 60 days, and
has filed two additional divisional patents on January 11, 2010, with a
priority date of July 2001.
