PNC Bank Rolls Out New UC Bearcat Card/ID

University of Cincinnati (UC) students, faculty and staff users of the Bearcat Card/ID will have the option of linking it
to an already existing or new PNC account, adding the ability to access
ATMs and to make PIN-based purchases at any retail location on the STAR
or PLUS® networks. Starting in June 2010, the reach and convenience of the card’s existing
functions will be expanded thanks to a new banking relationship between
PNC Bank and UC. This would include grocery stores and chains, area
malls and more. The UC Bearcat Card/ID is not a credit card, nor will it
become one with the new arrangement. No credit card marketing will be
part of the new relationship. Currently, the UC Bearcat Card/ID is accepted by 79 off-campus businesses.

VeriFone Holdings Renamed As VeriFone Systems

E-payment provider VeriFone Holdings has announced it has formally
changed its corporate name to VeriFone Systems. Henceforth all
corporate information will be issued in the name of VeriFone Systems.
The name change does not otherwise affect the company’s outstanding
stock certificates, and the company’s common shares will continue to
trade on the New York Stock Exchange under the stock symbol “PAY”. The
company’s core business entity will continue to operate as VeriFone.

NCR To Provide APTRA Online Banking to Old National Bank

NCR Corporation is set to extend its e-commerce partnership with IN-based Old National
Bank. The partnership enables Old National Bank to leverage NCR’s Web
Hosting Services and “APTRA Online Banking” solution.
APTRA Online Banking enables Old National Bank’s customers to access
their accounts online and perform financial transactions such as paying
bills, checking balances and receiving notifications. Over the past 11
years, this scalable software solution has supported Old National Bank’s
sustained customer growth, from 20,000 in 1999 to more than 144,000
today. That total is expected to double in the next 12 months.
This includes using NCR APTRA
eMarketing multichannel offer management software to deliver targeted,
personalized promotions to consumers across multiple branch, call
centre, mobile, online and ATM banking channels.

NYSRA Deploys Mocapay Mobile Marketing

The New York State Restaurant Association has selected Mocapay as its official mobile marketing provider. NYSRA will leverage the embedded marketing engine within Mocapay’s mobile platform to generate and distribute targeted mobile marketing campaigns for the New York City Chapter. This will inform members of pertinent legislative issues, industry news, seminar and event updates and additional relevant information. Wells Fargo Marks 15 Years of Online Banking

Wells Fargo is commemorating its 15-year anniversary of online banking with enhancements to its website and more customer-friendly features. On May 18, 1995, Wells Fargo offered customers free Internet access to current balances in their checking, savings, line of credit and credit card accounts. The service showed customers’ transaction histories for checking and savings accounts. In recognition of this Wells Fargo has enhanced its “Smarter Credit Center” online resource, offering information and guidance to help customers be smarter about credit and has reduced time to complete a credit card application by 67 percent. In the early days of online banking, customers primarily used online account access to check balances and transfer money between accounts. Today, customers can pay mortgage, credit card, and other bills, to apply for student loans, to manage their budgets, and to do many other activities.

Solutions and will offer the same American Express-branded prepaid
products and services it always has. These include its patented
“DirectSpend” product suite, which has seen 200% growth year over
year for the past five years.
The rebranding effort blended extensive qualitative and quantitive

Over the next several months, the organization will roll out its new
brand identity online, at select trade events, among customers and
