Consumers are carrying less credit card debt, with median balances of $3,793â $1,100 lower than in 2009 while 23% of respondents are motivated to pay off their credit cards faster by the Minimum Payment Warning on their bills mandated by the Credit Card Act of 2009. Also, only 23% owed more than $10,000, down from 30% last year while 18% wouldnât be able to handle their expenses for six months without credit cards and 19% would take longer than two years to pay off their balances while 20% didnât know when theyâd be able to. Compass Plus retail banking software and electronic payments has signed SystemPay International, its first
North American customer. SystemPay International is a provider of merchant services and end-to-end
electronic payment processing solutions, supporting credit and debit cards, ACH, checks and gift cards
among others and will implement the Compass Plus “TranzWare Online” and “Card Management” products.
With this, SystemPay will provide its national and international customers with the accurate and secure
movement of funds and authorization and card through its PCI compliant datacenter.
Hypercom announced that one of the foremost banks in Asia with nearly 9 million customers and more than 800 branch offices, has selected and will deploy 26,000 “Optimum” payment systems to merchants in Indonesia. TSYS announced has signed a multi-year payment services agreement with Bank of Montreal for its consumer and commercial credit card portfolios in Canada and the US. With this, TSYS will provide account processing and other value-added services to Bank of Montreal, the largest issuer of MasterCard credit cards in Canada. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed. Bank of Montreal total assets of $397 billion as at July 31, 2010, and 38,000 employees, offering wealth management and investment banking products and solutions. FNDS3000 Corp international prepaid processing company has signed a $2.5 million non-brokered equity financing agreement. Slated to close in four tranches over a nine month period, the first tranche of $1 million was
closed on October 19 while the three follow-on financings, equal to $500,000 each, are scheduled to occur
on or about January 31, 2011, April 1, 2011 and July 1, 2011. The financing was led by Sherington Holdings,
private investment company, with participation by other current accredited shareholders of FNDS3000.

customers online. Bank Iowa has seven charters that serve 21 Iowa communities with 24 locations, which
combined have more than $1 billion in assets. The T8 Webware “Cre8 My Card” solution will provide Bank
Iowa customers with a broad range of options from which to pull personal photos: various social media
outlets, their personal computers or the bankâs pre-determined image gallery. Users are given full-photo
manipulation rights to crop, rotate, resize and even adjust saturation of the image to their preference. A

According to the EU, global payments volumes continued to grow in 2009, despite economic pressure from the financial crisis according to findings from the World Payments Report 2010. This followed a period of overall growth in non cash-payments which accelerated to 9% in 2008 from 7% in 2007. The rate of growth in non-cash payments volumes in 2008 was far faster in developing economies, such as China (29%), South Africa (25%) and Russia (66%), than in mature markets, such as North America which had a growth rate of four percent.
