American Express debuted “Mr. Stache,” the winner of its My Movie Pitch contest and announced the launch of the second year of My Movie Pitch at the Tribeca Film Festival. John Nash, a 21-year old student from Rockland County, New York, was joined at the premiere of the short film based on his 60-second movie idea by director Jac Schaeffer who adapted Nash’s pitch into a screenplay, cast members Amy Smart and Rich Sommer, and American Express Cardmembers. American Express also announced the launch of the second year of My Movie Pitch, a contest that seeks to bring one inspirational storyteller’s unique movie idea to life as an independent short film to debut at the 2012 Tribeca Film Festival. “Mr. Stache” was selected from more than 2,000 entries by a panel of Tribeca Film directors.

Fujitsu Component America has released its smallest and most cost-effective, POS receipt printer- approximately 15% smaller than competing printers with similar features. The “FP-1000” printer with its compact 144(W) x184(D) x 120(H)mm footprint is designed for industrial receipt applications such as commercial kitchens, medical/pharmaceutical printing and weigh stations. It prints small text, specialized fonts, graphics, and 1D and 2D barcodes with 203 dpi resolution at180 mm/sec speeds to expedite throughput and reduce wait time. The 3-inch thermal printer mechanism has a life of 60 million lines.
