This ASP solution enables financial institutions to offer retail and small business customers the option to deposit checks from a compatible smartphone, camera-enabled tablet device, or flatbed scanner. Remote Deposit Anywhere will help banks and credit unions retain and attract new customers and members by expanding the available deposit channels.

Regions to Offer Western Union Global Money Transfer and Payment Services

Regions Bank and Western Union payment services forged out agreement to offer the Western Union global money transfer service and the Western Union expedited bill pay service across 1,700 Regions Bank locations in the U.S. Through the bank’s agreement with Western Union, Regions Bank accountholders and walk-in consumers will have the ability to send and receive domestic or international money transfers and make same-day payments conveniently and quickly to members of Western Union’s growing Biller network. The services will be available later this year at Regions Bank branches in the 16 states the bank serves. Plans also include offering Western Union online services to Regions Bank online customers.

MoneyGram Expands Through Al Barid Bank Agreements

MoneyGram International partnered with Al Barid Bank to adding 1,800 locations. With this, Al Barid Bank becomes MoneyGram’s largest agent in Morocco MoneyGram’s service is currently being rolled out by region with all locations to be active by the end of August. With the addition of these branches, MoneyGram will count more than 5,000 agent locations in Morocco. Garanti Implements FICO Fraud Protection

FICO analytics and decision management technology announced Garanti Bank will use a suite of fraud management solutions based upon FICO Falcon Fraud Manager 6 to protect all cards products, consumer loans, credit card applications and current account / DDA transactions. Garanti has fought fraud for five years using FICO solutions that analyze card transactions, credit applications, merchant profiles and Internet banking transactions. Now Garanti is upgrading to the latest version of FICO(TM) Falcon(R) Fraud Manager in order to expand its use of FICO fraud technology across all transaction channels at the bank, including current / DDA accounts. Garanti will use FICO’s fraud solutions to protect customers in Turkey, and plans to expand protection to customers in Romania.

The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) has announced that Société Générale in North America will link to its Loan/SERV Reconciliation Service as both agent bank and lender to help automate and streamline the processing of syndicated loans, enabling the bank to view and reconcile loan positions with thousands of lenders on a daily basis. Société Générale is the first French bank to link to the Reconciliation Service in North America. Société Générale joins the growing list of top tier global agent banks that use the Reconciliation Service to view and reconcile loan positions and accruals.
