PrepaYd Forges Sprint Private Label Services Agreement

PrepaYd entered into a private label services agreement with Sprint, under which PrepaYd will become a Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) and will be able to provide its own branded wireless services using the Nationwide Sprint Network. PrepaYd through “PrepaYd Wireless” will now become a Wireless Service Provider by offering Prepaid Wireless Service on the Nationwide Sprint Network. PrepaYd through one of its wholly owned subsidiaries Bank Freedom, markets prepaid debit cards to the estimated 60,000,000 underbanked consumers in the U.S. and to the estimated 40,000,000 banked consumers in the U.S. with money management issues.

ControlCase Releases Free Data Discovery Tool

ControlCase software solutions and managed compliance services launched its free downloadable data discovery tool, allowing organizations to identify and securely remove unprotected cardholder data that may be stored on their systems. ControlCase Data Discovery (CDD) has been developed to meet risk and compliance requirements as outlined in version 2.0 of the PCI DSS; the latest update to the standard reinforces the need for businesses to have a methodology in place for finding and securing unprotected cardholder data. With the Enterprise version, all of the scanning is done from one place, so there is no need to duplicate the process for each individual PC or laptop.

TxVia to Process Payment Cards on Discover Network

TxVia transaction processing technology for emerging payments and financial services has been certified by Discover Financial Services to process for issuers and program managers using the Discover network. The relationship will support processing for a number of TxVia clients, including InteliSpend Prepaid Solutions, with which Discover announced an issuance and program management agreement earlier this year for point-based, commissionable restricted authorization network (RAN) prepaid cards as well as other products.

Caxton FX Launches Visa pre-paid currency card

Caxton FX unveiled a new Visa prepaid card for its currency card program, giving cardholders more freedom and protection. This is part of Caxton FX’s long term plan to offer more benefits to its customers, including accpetance at 31 million outlets across 170 countries, “Consumer Purchase Protection” as well as a number of other benefits. These include no ATM fees charged by Caxton FX abroad and 0% commission on transactions and top-tier customer service. The Caxton FX Visa cards will be issued by Raphaels Bank.

South Indian Bank & TimesofMoney Launch e-remittance

South Indian Bank has signed a service agreement with TimesofMoney e-payments service provider to offer remittance solutions to NRIs in selected countries. This partnership will allow NRIs across 22 countries, to remit funds online to any bank in India under the NEFT/RTGS network. This service provided by TimesofMoney would ensure all NRIs to get a robust transaction platform along with better pricing, safety and speedy money transfer. Raiffeisen Bank International taps SIX Card Solutions

Raiffeisen Bank International (RBI) is now implementing Cetrel, SIX Card Solutions’ competence center for credit card processing, to offer a flexible and technologically innovative platform. It will implement support by SIX Card Solutions to offer the first contactless credit card in the market. SIX Card Solutions previously developed a prepaid card program in Austria and Germany for Raiffeisen Bank International (RBI). This innovative solution enables cardholders to profit from special functions, including PIN selection, personal card design, secure paying on the Internet and balance inquiries per SMS. RBI also uses the SIX Card Solutions system to issue credit cards with a miles function for Air Berlin & NIKI.

Barnes International receives GlobalPlatform qualification

Barnes International announced qualification of its GlobalPlatform Test Tool to ensure card products are compliant to GlobalPlatform UICC Card Configuration. The development of this new test tool is the result of the strong commitment that Barnes has made to developing tools for the mobile payment sector in general and to GlobalPlatform in particular. Barnes joined GlobalPlatform two years ago specifically to work with GlobalPlatform members as part of the Card Compliance Working Group on the development of UICC test tools. This complements Barnes’ existing payment card Personalisation Validation Test Tools providing rigorous, comprehensive and rapid card validation and quality control testing in a world where mobile and payment are rapidly converging.

UAE Exchange to Accept Payments for AmEx

American Express Credit Card members can now pay their credit card bill payments at any UAE Exchange branch, a major global remittance and foreign exchange brand. The partnership will offer the cash collection service, adding to the range of payment services offered by UAE Exchange. UAE Exchange has over 520 branches in 24 countries built over 30 years along with correspondent banking relationship with over 150 global banks. It caters to over 3.5 million customers worldwide contributing to 5.28% of global remittance volume.

Círculo de Crédito to Deploy FICO decision management

The credit information organization, Círculo de Crédito, is set to offer FICO Scores to its banking clients, whereby it will deliver “FICO Scores” in 2011. The “FICO Scores” will analyze the rich consumer credit data at Círculo de Crédito in order to provide a snapshot of each consumer’s credit risk. FICO developed the scoring models at Círculo de Crédito based on a thorough analysis of Mexican credit patterns and data supplied by Mexican lenders. FICO Scores rank-order consumers by credit risk and deploys “FICO Scores” to allow users to more confidently tailor their credit product offerings to the risk profile of individual consumers.

NextiraOne and NICE Address PCI DSS rules

NextiraOne, in collaboration with NICE Systems Limited, put in place the skills required to help customers tackle their payment card data security compliancy issues when operating a contact center. With this, NextiraOne integrated NICE’s real-time PCI solution into its customer offering for new contact centres and is also offering upgrades to existing contact centre customers to bring them up to the new data security standards. The PCI solution leverages its real-time desktop analytics for automatically pausing and resuming audio and screen recordings containing sensitive information and lets the multiple stored recordings to be played back in accordance with the original call flow.
