Wolfe, Wolfe Rewards & Loyalty (WRL) launched its “SelectSpend” Discover Reward Cards thanks to its Discover partnership. With this, WRL is now offering Restricted Authorization Network (RAN) prepaid cards that limit spending by merchant, category or geography. This product suite is meant for incentive or reward programs that want to shape the recipient’s purchasing behavior and influence the user to spend their card in a targeted area. Its Private card limits purchasing to one or more specific merchants and is ideal for programs where the desired merchants are set up on different Point-of-Sale (POS) terminals such as a mall or entertainment venues. SelectSpend Geo is limited to specific zip codes in the United States and designed for community incentive programs to draw consumer spending to a desired shopping region. WRL is offering the Category card with five predesigned prepaid cards that limit the spending to applicable merchants within those categories.

NetLogic Semiconductor Launches Knowledge-based Processor

NetLogic Microsystems semiconductor solutions for next-generation Internet networks launched volume shipments for its industry-leading NL10k and NL11k families of advanced knowledge-based processors, optimized to manage the significantly greater requirements of Internet Protocol Version 6 (IPv6) processing in next-generation switches and routers. Ingenico acquires TNET payment terminal technical service

Ingenico payment solutions acquired 100% of Italy-based TNET Centro Servizi Monetici Srl (TNET) technical services for payment terminals, strengthening its position in the market, especially in banking, loyalty, petrol and retail. Ingenico Italia will thus become the largest independent company for POS related services. TNET, founded in 1998, has been one of the first independent companies to provide on-site services to the electronic payment market. TNET manages an installed base of 45.000 terminals in Italy, and the number will reach 50.000 terminals within the coming months thanks to new contracts already signed.

VeriFone Ships 500,000th System to Point Transaction

VeriFone Systems has shipped its 500,000th payment systems to Point Transaction Systems, which uses VeriFone systems and software with most of its several hundred thousand merchants. Point also resells VeriFone systems and software in England through its subsidiary, Commidea. Point is able to call upon the worldwide resources of VeriFone to meet virtually any customer need for payment products and services.
