RBS and NatWest have introduced their BlackBerry banking app, allowing users to check their balance, see their last 6 transactions and even transfer funds between accounts. This new app means they can transfer money when short of cash, check their account balance, and even pinpoint the closest ATM if ever short of a few pounds. Essentially it provides RBS and NatWest customers with a simpler way to manage their money – all from their BlackBerry smartphone. They also can see all accounts they hold with either NatWest or RBS, check balances, see their last 6 transactions, manage and receive SMS text message alerts, and reload their pre-paid mobile account.

First Data & Zoot Offer Loan Origination

First Data electronic commerce and payment processing partnered with Zoot instant credit decisioning and loan origination solutions, whereby the former will offer account opening and loan origination solutions of the latter to its issuing client base. Namely, First Data will offer Zoot’s “zOriginate” loan origination software (LOS) solution, allowing users to complete the entire end-to-end origination process, from submitting the loan application using multiple channels, to seamlessly booking the new account to First Data in real time or using batch processing. The solution features flexible decisioning with the ability to easily incorporate traditional and nontraditional data sources.

Citi Cards Restructures Executive Team

Citi Cards appointed Leslie Gillin as Head of Citi Cards Sales and Marketing, Valerie Greer as Head of Partnerships and Young Adult and Barry Rodrigues as Global Head of Network Strategy and Management. Leslie Gillin will drive the development of Citi Cards’ marketing and customer growth strategies and execution across all channels and will work closely with the product teams and global marketing organization to drive alignment of marketing efforts. She also worked in senior executive marketing roles at Bank of America in the U.S. and internationally, including Marketing Executive for Global Card Services, Chief Marketing Officer of Europe Card Services and most recently, Direct Response and Analytical Marketing Executive of the Consumer and Small Business Bank.

Barry Rodrigues will work with U.S. and regional Citi Cards leadership to develop a global network strategy and oversee relationships with all global network partners, such as MasterCard, Visa and American Express. He joins Citi from American Express where he was President of Global Network Services (GNS) where he occupied various leadership positions, overseeing major bank issuer relationships and merchant acquiring and processing. Valerie Greer will be responsible for strengthening key partnership portfolios for the Cards franchise and providing overall strategic direction for these relationships.

EVERTEC Extends Exchange Offer

EVERTEC extended its pending exchange offer to exchange up to $220,000,000 aggregate principal amount of its 11% Senior Notes due 2018 (the “Exchange Notes”) that have been registered under the Securities Act of 1933, as amended, for a like principal amount of its outstanding 11% Senior Notes due 2018 (the “Old Notes”). EVERTEC has been advised by its exchange agent that, as of the close of business on September 7, 2011, approximately $168,325,000, or approximately 77.1%, of the Old Notes, have been confirmed as tendered in exchange for a like principal amount of the Exchange Notes. The new expiration date for the Exchange Offer is 5:00 p.m., New York City time, on September 14, unless further extended.
