Posera-HDX Acquires Payment Switch Company

Posera – HDX Limited announced that it has completed the acquisition of the payment switch company, Cash ‘N Go, for $450,000. Renamed HDX Payment Processing, the purchase price was satisfied by the issuance of 1,000,000 Posera-HDX common shares at $0.45 cents. Cash N Go, established in 1998, owns and operates a Postillion payment switch developed by S1 Corporation. The Company has historically processed approximately 8 million ATM transactions annually and Posera-HDX plans to upgrade the payment switch to facilitate the processing of Point-of-Sale transactions for its merchant client base.

Merkle Offers TechnoServe Donation Processing

The customer relationship marketing (CRM) firm, Merkle, and its Response Management Group (RMG) subsidiary has been selected by TechnoServe ( www.technoserve.org ) to manage the nonprofit organization’s direct mail donation processing. Globus Implements Contactless POS Payments

Globus Supermarkets now plans to equip all of its stores with contactless POS terminals after successful NFC payments trial. This was in conjunction with Telefónica O2, Komerční Banka, Citibank and Visa Europe. Two hundred clients of both Citibank and Telefónica as well as two hundred common clients of Komerční Banka and Telefónica took part in the trial. Citibank has seen more than 2,500 payment transactions conducted with a value of more than EUR1million and a total of 4,500 NFC transactions were carried out by Komerční Banka customers during the trial.

Mint and Government Bank Sign a MOU

Mint Technology has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (“MOU”) with the Principal Bank for Development and Agricultural Credit (“PBDAC”), an Egyptian government owned bank to build and operate a payments infrastructure network to replace the current cash based system of subsidy, loan and payment distributions. The project includes a prepaid/debit card program to manage the bank’s agricultural loan program to be distributed exclusively by and through the PBDAC distribution network in Egypt of 1200 Branches and able to be used at retail point of sale merchant locations and ATMs. Mint’s contract with PBDAC will also include the deployment and management of new ATM and POS equipment and network to support the card program throughout the country.

eBay Acquires BillSAFE Invoice Technology

eBay acquired BillSAFE purchase-on-invoice technology, combining BILLSAFE with its PayPal online payments. The deal follows eBay Inc.’s minority stake investment in the company in October 2010. eBay Inc. now owns 100 percent of the outstanding shares of BillSAFE. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. PayPal believes the addition of BILLSAFE will provide a comprehensive payment service for merchants and consumers, working with merchants of all sizes for a simple and secure way to let shoppers purchase using an invoice. Customers simply select the item they want to buy, and then they receive an invoice for payment after the item is received.

Elan Acquires $700mm Credit Card Folio

Elan Financial Services completed the acquisition of the credit card assets of 28 financial institutions, in a portfolio comprising approximately $700 million of outstanding balances. The portfolio includes small business and consumer cards and was acquired from FIA Card Services for undisclosed terms. Among the 28 financial institutions, the portfolio includes cards offered by financial services firm Edward Jones to its clients through its network of more than 11,000 U.S. financial advisors. With this, Elan will own the assets but will continue to brand and to market the credit cards under the respective financial institution names.
