CorFire, the mobile commerce business of SK C&C USA and the leading provider of mobile technology solutions, and SNAP (Social Network Appreciation Platform), a platform linking transactions at the merchant’s POS with automated social network interactions, announced plans to integrate the SNAP platform into CorFire’s mobile wallet solution, “CorPay,” and its suite of mobile marketing services, “Cor360.” The combined solution will provide a one-stop shop to enable QSRs and other retail segments to connect their m-commerce apps to social networks such as Facebook, Foursquare, and Twitter.

RushCard Plans to Reduce and Simplify Fees

RushCard announced plans to streamline its fee structure for the Prepaid Visa RushCard, as well as launch an entirely new plan, the RushUnlimited Plan. Many customers who choose the new plan can make unlimited signature and PIN transactions for a new lower monthly fee. The RushUnlimited Plan, available in March 2012, will not only deliver increased payment flexibility, but will also provide a simplified fee structure for new customers and existing Cardholders choosing from within RushCard’s robust suite of money-saving solutions. Cardholders across all RushCard plans, the fees for bill pay enrollment, individual bill pay transactions, plan changes and replacement cards* will be eliminated.

Compass Plus Kicks Off Card Processing Center

Compass Plus payments software provider unveiled the Tajikistan national processing center, for which it was enlisted to consolidate the existing infrastructure of bank card acceptance in Tajikistan on a single national platform. This allows secure card operations in the country and delivering access to the advanced payment technologies, including Internet and mobile banking. Choosing Compass Plus as its technology partner ensured that the Tajikistan National processing centre gained access to the full range of modern banking services that include cash disbursement and acceptance, payment for goods and services, various fund transfer options, performing banking operations via the Internet and mobile and SMS-banking.

Eckoh launches Over-Phone Payment Protector

Eckoh customer service solutions using speech recognition launched its “EckohPROTECT” at the PCI London conference being held on 25 January 2012. PCI London is designed to meet the needs of key stakeholders and decision makers who are responsible for securing payments systems, protecting cardholder data and meeting PCI DSS compliance requirements within merchants, acquiring banks and payments service providers. The “EckohPROTECT” solution allows the caller to remain on the phone to the contact center agent, who will talk them through the payment process, assist in the event of any difficulty, and allow for the agent to complete any wrap up tasks.

Malayan Banking Campaign Grand Prize Winner Announced

VIVA Bahrain & TransferTo Launch Prepaid Credit Transfer

VIVA announced its latest partnership deal with TransferTo international airtime transfer, allowing its prepaid customers to transfer credit to their loved ones overseas simply via SMS. Prepaid customers can now ensure their families and friends abroad are always able to get in touch with them no matter the occasion, celebration or emergency at hand. The service, introduced by VIVA for the first time in Bahrain, is secure, immediate and can be used around the clock. It is available for twelve receiving countries: Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Egypt, Thailand, Morocco, Jordan, Syria, Indonesia and Nepal.

Cashflows Joins Swift network

Cashflows business payment solutions is now a member of Swift global provider of secure financial messaging services. This is on top of Cashflows existing membership of Visa and MasterCard and significantly extends the scope of its global payments network. SWIFT is the industry-owned co-operative supplying secure, standardised messaging services and interface software to nearly 9,000 financial institutions in 209 countries and territories. SWIFT members include banks, broker-dealers and investment managers. Cashflows has secured use of the IBAN ‘CASH GB2L’ which will be used in all messaging. Cashflows is able to offer centralised and standardised reporting; increased efficiency in sending payment instructions; increased reach of territories and currencies supported; improved communication with banks via SWIFT Free Format messages; and improved account opening process in that initial communication can be made by SWIFT.

Chase Card Services, through its subsidiary Disney Rewards,launched Disney’s “Premier Visa Card” from Chase. Allowing customers to earn rewards twice as fast, the “Premier Visa Card” gives Cardmembers 2% in Disney “Dream Reward Dollars” on card purchases at restaurants, grocery stores, gas stations and most Disney locations at Walt Disney World Resort, the Disneyland Resort, Disney Cruise Line and Disney Store. Cardmembers simply buy airline tickets with their card and then pay themselves back by redeeming reward dollars for a credit on their monthly statement. For a $49 annual fee, the card charges no cap on the number of Disney Dream Reward Dollars that can be earned; 0% APR for six months on select Disney vacation packages; and 0% APR for six months on the purchase of a real estate interest in a Disney Vacation Club® Resort up to $10,000 or on a minimum add-on purchase, in addition to many other perks.
